Nevada sports betting, NFL Raiders 2022 schedule

The schedule and odds for the 2022 Las Vegas Raiders provide a prediction on the performance of Nevada’s sole professional football team.

The NFL unveiled the full schedule for the 2022 regular season shortly after the Draft held in Las Vegas in April. The Raiders are set to kick off the season away from home, facing their division rivals, the Los Angeles Chargers.

BetMGM reports that the Raiders are currently +4 underdogs against the Chargers in the regular season’s opening game, with an over/under total of 53.5. However, expect the lines to shift as the season approaches.

The Raiders will conclude their 2025 season with a home game against a rival team. Their week 18 home game against the Kansas City Chiefs is flexible, with the exact date and time – either January 7 or 8 – yet to be announced.

2022 NFL Draft picks and a new head coach

The Raiders remained relatively quiet during the NFL Draft in Las Vegas. Their top two draft picks were used to secure one of the league’s finest wide receivers.

Davante Adams, a former All-Pro receiver for the Packers, will make his regular-season home debut with the Raiders against the Arizona Cardinals in the season’s second week.

Adams may get his first chance to play on the Las Vegas field in a week one preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings. Top starters typically don’t participate much in early preseason games.

Although Adams might not be participating in the exhibition games, the Raiders’ new head coach will make his debut prior to the regular season. Supporters will have a glimpse of Josh McDaniels, the new head coach’s game-calling style starting from the preseason.

Fans anticipate that the new additions will enhance the Raiders’ performance from last season’s 10-7 record and Wild Card loss. However, the oddsmakers at BetMGM are not as confident.

The sports betting app from Nevada sets the season win total for Las Vegas at 8.5, with an over juice of -115. This is slightly less than the previous year’s record.

The lower expectations for the playoff team from Las Vegas can be justified due to the anticipated high level of competition in the AFC West, which is predicted to be one of the most competitive in the league.

2022 Las Vegas Raiders regular season odds and schedule

Sharp Football Analysis reports that the Raiders are expected to have the third toughest schedule in the upcoming NFL season. This is not surprising, given that they are part of what is anticipated to be the league’s most competitive division.

Unsurprisingly, two of the three toughest schedules this year belong to AFC West teams. Based on this analysis, the season’s most challenging schedule is faced by the Chiefs.

Bet MGM lists the Raiders with the longest odds in their division to clinify the AFC West, currently standing at 6-1.

Currently, the odds stand at 20-1 for Las Vegas winning the AFC and 35-1 for them winning the Super Bowl this season.

Odds for every 2022 Las Vegas Raiders game

Station Casinos is among the handful of Nevada sportsbooks that has already set Raiders lines for the entire season. At present, Las Vegas is the favored team in eight games this season. One game is listed as a pick ’em.

According to the lines below, the 8.5 win total seems to hold up at both Station Casinos and BetMGM.

  • 9/11 at Chargers
  • Cardinals vs. Raiders (-2) on 9/18
  • Titans vs Raiders (Raiders +3) on 9/25
  • Raiders -1 vs. Broncos on 10/2
  • On October 10, the Raiders will play at Chiefs with a 6.5 point advantage.
  • Week 6: BYE
  • Raiders -8 against Texans on 10/23
  • Saints vs Raiders on 10/30, Raiders are favored by 2 points.
  • Jaguars vs Raiders on 11/6 (Raiders -4)
  • Raiders -1.5 against Colts on 11/13
  • Raiders at Broncos on 11/20, with Raiders having a 4 point advantage.
  • Seahawks vs Raiders on 11/27 (Raiders -3)
  • Chargers vs. 12/4 (Pick ’em)
  • Raiders +6 at Rams on 12/8
  • Raiders -2 against Patriots on 12/18
  • Raiders -1 at Steelers on 12/24
  • Raiders +2 vs. 49ers on 1/1
  • Raiders +3 vs. Chiefs on 1/7 or 1/8

The season win total for the Raiders is set at 8.5 by both sportsbooks, with a higher payout if they exceed this number.

2022 Las Vegas Raiders regular season highlights

This season, the Raiders are scheduled to play a minimum of three primetime games. There is a possibility of a fourth primetime game in week 18 against the Chiefs.

The Raiders will play their first game against the Chiefs in week five on Monday Night Football. Their week 14 game will be against the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday Night Football.

The only home primetime game scheduled for the Raiders will be against the New England Patriots in week 15 of the season, on Sunday Night Football.

The recurring annual matches against AFC West teams continue to deliver numerous highlights. This year, the Raiders will face quarterbacks from the Chiefs and Chargers, Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert, twice. It’s also the inaugural year that Russell Wilson, the new quarterback for the Broncos, will play against the Silver and Black on two occasions.

This season, the Raiders will also face a challenge from the Arizona Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, and Tennessee Titans.

The Pittsburgh Steelers could potentially be starting rookie quarterback, Kenny Pickett, by the time they play the Raiders on Christmas Eve. Regardless, Pickett will represent a fresh face in Las Vegas.

This season, which promises to be challenging, could offer some enjoyable moments at Allegiant Stadium and during road games across the US.

A standout feature of the regular season schedule is that the Raiders are not scheduled to play any matches outside the country. Consequently, fans of the Silver and Black will not have to deal with 6 am starts.

Currently, only three out of eight Raiders games are scheduled to start in the morning. These morning games will be held in Jacksonville, New Orleans, and Nashville. The rest of the games will kick off at 1 pm PT or later.

2022 Las Vegas Raiders preseason odds and schedule

This year, the Raiders are among the fortunate teams to receive an additional preseason game. Their NFL preseason commences with a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the Week Zero Hall of Fame Game in Canton, OH, slated for Aug. 4.

BetMGM has established the Raiders as -1.5 favorites for this year’s first preseason game, with the total set at a scant 33.5.

Visiting Las Vegas for a Raiders game

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Las Vegas, a major tourist destination, welcomed as many as 42 million visitors annually.

Numerous football enthusiasts are currently scheduling their trips to Las Vegas to coincide with their team’s match against the Raiders. Visiting fans should be able to find tickets on the secondary market. Last year, the Raiders had a substantial no-show rate of 14.3%, which was considered “extraordinary”.

Around 40% to 50% of the spectators at Raiders games at Allegiant Stadium, depending on the source and game, are cheering for the visiting team.

In the solitary Raiders match I attended last season against the team now known as the Commanders (formerly the Washington Football Team), I did not encounter this. Despite the game not being sold out and somewhat uneventful, the home team fans present were vociferously cheering.

Allegiant Stadium has rapidly ascended the ranks to become one of the NFL’s most popular stadiums. Scott DeAngelo, Allegiant’s Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, revealed that “fans ranked Allegiant Stadium as the top venue for Overall Gameday Satisfaction. They particularly praised the stadium’s food, ambiance, and advanced technology during their visits.”

Although the Raiders stadium sponsor should ideally be supporting the home team, Allegiant, an airline company, is exploring ways to profit from the visiting fans.

This year, Allegiant Airlines is providing tailored travel packages for fans residing in different cities, enabling them to support their teams in Las Vegas against the Raiders. The fans from the following cities are set to cheer their teams in Las Vegas:

  • Boston
  • Denver
  • Houston
  • Indianapolis
  • Los Angeles
  • Kansas City
  • Phoenix
  • San Fransisco

These are the hometowns of the NFL teams playing in Las Vegas this year, even though the teams have fans located in other cities.

Fans visiting Allegiant Stadium should anticipate higher hotel room rates, particularly at properties nearby. Hotels such as Mandalay Bay, Delano (located within Mandalay Bay), and Luxor typically charge above-average rates as they are within walking distance to the stadium.
