So, you’re in Las Vegas and interested in catching the NFL Draft, but keen on avoiding the mayhem caused by hundreds of thousands of fans swarming the Vegas Strip to view the event live. No worries. There are numerous locations in downtown Las Vegas where you can comfortably watch the NFL Draft.

If you’re considering placing a bet on the NFL Draft, keep in mind that Nevada sportsbooks are prohibited from accepting bets on the event’s day. This means that all NFL Draft bets must be placed by Wednesday, April 27.

Consider alternate NFL Draft viewing

Navigating the vicinity of The Linq and Bellagio on the Vegas Strip, where the NFL Draft is located, is already challenging due to lane closures. The situation will become increasingly arduous when entire roads are shut down and hundreds of thousands of people flock to Las Vegas for the NFL Draft events.

Viewing the NFL Draft in person may be a bucket list goal, however, there are numerous alternatives to experience the excitement without dealing with large crowds. You can tick the NFL Draft off your bucket list by enjoying the event from various locations.

The initial round and night of the NFL Draft are the most crowded. It might be worth considering skipping the live event on this day. The crowd tends to thin out a bit on the second and third days and nights. This could provide a chance to experience the NFL Draft in a slightly more relaxed environment with more space to socialize.

To savor everything without feeling overwhelmed, consider watching the NFL Draft’s first round from a distance. Utilize the remaining days of the NFL Draft to experience the NFL Experience and NFL Theater in person.

Just a reminder, the NFL Draft events are complimentary. However, registration for NFL OnePass is mandatory for those attending the NFL Draft Experience and Draft Theater.

Watch the NFL Draft in downtown Las Vegas casinos

Compared to the Vegas Strip, Downtown Las Vegas could almost be considered a separate city. The district is densely populated with casinos that are a short walk away from each other.

Most casinos in downtown Las Vegas offer fair gambling rules and odds that gamblers will appreciate. Many casinos provide 3:2 blackjack, 10x or higher odds in craps, and even single zero roulette. The last of these is typically only found in high limit rooms.

A range of choices are available for viewing the NFL Draft in downtown Las Vegas, including watch events held indoors at casinos and outdoors by various pools.

  • Reserve seats to watch the NFL Draft all three days at the sportsbook indoors at Circa, or outdoors at Stadium Swim on April 28 and 29.
  • Come and enjoy the NFL Draft Watch Party at the Citrus Grand Pool Deck, Downtown Grand. The event will kick off at 11 a.m. on April 28, outdoors.
  • Golden Nugget’s Troy Liquor Bar is hosting a “Get Your Draft On” party every night from April 28 to April 30. There’s no cover charge and doors will open at 9 p.m. A DJ will start spinning tracks from 10 p.m. onwards.

“Grid Iron Girls,” an NFL-themed production show will run throughout the NFL Draft as part of the Fremont Street Experience. Additionally, the casino mall will offer free entertainment on different stages all weekend long, until 3 a.m. each night.
