Formula One (F1) declared last week that the Las Vegas Grand Prix will conduct a race on and off the Vegas Strip next year. The race is scheduled to happen at night in November, however, a specific date has not been set yet.

F1 continues to gain traction as a sport in the US. The United States Grand Prix, held in Austin, TX, has seen its attendance numbers rise from 100,000 to 400,000 for the race weekend. As evidence of its escalating popularity in the US, the Miami Grand Prix is scheduled to occur for the first time in May.

Next year, the Las Vegas Grand Prix is set to be the third F1 race in the US, making it the only country to host three F1 races in 2025. Despite the US being a relatively new and expanding market, Nevada officials anticipate a turnout of 170,000 visitors in Las Vegas for the inaugural F1 race.

As F1 continues to grow in popularity, hosting three races in the US could potentially boost betting interest. Nevada sportsbooks are increasingly expanding their F1 betting options on a weekly basis. However, currently, only one is providing odds for the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix isn’t scheduled until more than a year and a half from now, so it’s to be expected that betting options aren’t yet available at every sportsbook. Nevertheless, one Nevada sportsbook operator is preparing early to outpace their competitors.

“Vegas has swiftly transformed into a hub for major sports events. The announcement of the Las Vegas F1 race scheduled for November 2025 made it logical to take advantage of the sport’s global popularity and post betting odds on the first F1 race here in four decades. With it being announced as a night race along the Las Vegas Strip, this race will rapidly become a favorite amongst both fans and bettors on the F1 Circuit. I am certain of it,” said Chuck Esposito, the Director of Race and Sports Book Operations for Station Casinos.

Station Casinos’ STN Sports is the premier Nevada sports betting app to provide odds on the inaugural F1 Las Vegas race. More specifically, it offers odds on the team predicted to win the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Given that drivers might switch teams in the off-season, offering odds this far in advance seems reasonable. Team Red Bull is the leading contender to win the Las Vegas race with almost even money odds (11/10). Ferrari and Mercedes follow as the second and third favorites respectively.

These are the complete odds provided by STN sports for the team predicted to win the first Las Vegas Grand Prix in 2025:

  • Red Bull: 11/10
  • Ferrari: 9/5 fhn
  • Mercedes: 3/1
  • McLaren: 10/1
  • Alpine: 10/1
  • AlphaTauri: 12/1
  • Alfa Romeo: 12/1
  • Aston Martin: 18/1
  • Field (any other team): 1 in 31

Nicole Russo from The Lines has shared her insights on betting the early odds for the Las Vegas Grand Prix:

“Stations deserves commendation for releasing these lines quickly and capitalizing on the anticipation of F1’s arrival in Vegas. However, from a bettor’s point of view, I would advise caution when placing a futures bet on a race so far in advance. The components of the power units in F1 cars can be modified until September 2022, potentially significantly affecting both future race results and the odds. Although it’s enjoyable to discuss this market early, it’s currently quite challenging to place a wager on it.”

Here is a general tip: Be cautious with “way-too-early” odds for any sport. Although placing the inaugural bet for an event may be enjoyable, it is prudent to tackle it with caution. There is a lot that can transpire between now and November 2025.
