Users of the Station Casinos sports betting app no longer have to visit a property to top up their accounts.

Station has now joined forces with PayNearMe, enabling customers to deposit cash into their accounts at 350 locations across Nevada. This includes 217 7-Eleven stores across the state and several other retail outlets.

Last week, players using the STN Sports mobile app were able to start using the service.

How it actually works

The procedure seems quite smooth for existing STN Sports app users. Within the app, players initially choose the option to deposit money. They’ll be asked to pick the deposit amount from a predetermined list, but they also have the flexibility to input a specific amount.

The option to make cash payments at 7-Eleven or other retail outlets will be available. Players simply need to visit their local store and make a top-up payment to replenish their accounts.

PayNearMe is not new to the sports betting space

Two years ago, the cloud-based money movement platform made its first entry into the sports betting domain through a partnership with William Hill. Those who use the William Hill app can deposit funds into their accounts by making cash payments at 7-Eleven and other retail outlets.

Station approached PayNearMe to develop a parallel solution for its application. PayNearMe collaborated with industry leader Mionmi to incorporate its payment system into the platform. Besides, Mionmi’s user interface also drives applications for Boyd, Caesars, Westgate, and Wynn.

WSOP.com also collaborates with PayNearMe to finance accounts for online poker players.

Starting up an account still requires a sports book visit

Players who wish to open a sports betting account with Station are required to visit one of the company’s 19 locations. These include Station Casinos branded properties, Wildfire Gaming, Fiesta, El Cortez Hotel and Casino, and Baldini’s. Furthermore, players must be at least 21 years old and make their bets from within the state of Nevada, regardless of their residential status.

You must deposit a minimum of $50 into a new account using cash, approved tokens, chips or an authorized prepaid card. The least amount you can bet through STN Sports is $2.
