Las Vegas Station Casinos offer a new app to fund gambling

Guests now have the option to gamble cashless at one of the six flagship casinos operated by Station Casinos. The Las Vegas-based casino operator will utilize IGT’s award-winning Resort Wallet and IGTPay cashless gaming modules for this service.

Both of these features are components of the IGT Advantage casino management system. They allow players to utilize the cashless gaming option and accumulate Boarding Pass players club points without needing a physical card.

You can use the new STN Cash app at these Station Casinos properties:

  • Casino Red Rock
  • Station Palace
  • Ranch of Green Valley
  • Station Boulder
  • Station at Sunset
  • Station Santa Fe

The STN Cash app will soon be usable for players at Barley’s Casino & Brewery and Wildfire Casinos across Las Vegas.

Station Casinos has joined Boyd Gaming properties and Resorts World in providing cashless gaming in Las Vegas. However, guests at these casinos still have the option to use cash.

Station Casinos and IGT partner again

The partnership between Station Casinos and IGT isn’t a recent development. Station Casinos was among the pioneering Las Vegas casino operators to provide IGT’s Cardless Connect.

This service enabled gamers to accrue players club points at machine games without the necessity of a physical card. STN Cash will maintain this collaboration. Tom Mikulich, the Senior Vice President of Innovation at Station Casinos, stated:

Station Casinos remains at the forefront of guest experience by offering advanced technologies like IGT’s Resort Wallet and IGTPay to our guests. These technologies not only drive slot play but also set our casinos apart and reward our devoted Boarding Pass members.

Station Casinos now allows guests to go cardless for rewards and cashless for money. This is facilitated by the Resort Wallet and IGTPay modules of the IGT Advantage casino management system.

Players utilizing the STN Cash app won’t need a physical Boarding Pass card while playing slots. This innovative app will permit players to use their smartphones to “tap in”, earning and utilizing Boarding Pass Rewards points.

Setting up STN Cash

The process of using STN Cash is relatively straightforward. However, it does require a short amount of time and a visit to a Station Casinos’ property to utilize the service at:

  • Poker Video
  • Keno
  • Gaming machine
  • Table Game in Electronic Format (ETG)

The STN Cash app allows players to securely fund a machine game from their mobile phone swiftly and conveniently.

To begin, download the STN Cash app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. After the app is downloaded, players must then go to the casino cashier at a Station Casinos’ property to confirm their identity and make their first deposit.

This is akin to creating an account on a Nevada sports betting app. Only at this point is a visit to the cashier necessary.

Once the STN Cash app is activated, players have the ability to connect their Boarding Pass account and PIN. The last step involves entering an email address and setting up a password.

One appealing aspect of this app is the ability for a player to establish a facial ID, eliminating the need to recall a password.

Once the setup is complete, users have the option to choose how they want to fund their accounts. They can either do it at the cashier inside a Station Casinos property, or add money remotely using ACH Bank Transfer or Play+.

Using STN Cash

Those who are accustomed to making payments for goods and services through a mobile app will find it easy to use STN Cash.

The user needs to launch STN Cash and position their phone onto the red card reader at the video poker or slot machine. The screen of the phone should face the user. Finally, the user must press the connect button located at the bottom right corner of the home screen.

When the machine and app are linked, the button on the app will change to green. After establishing the connection, the user should choose the “Fund Game” option and input the desired amount of money from their account to use.

Players are not required to spend all the money in their STN App at one go. Despite the ease of cashless transactions, players should still gamble within their usual budget.

Once the player inputs their PIN, the funds will be displayed on the screen. Then, the game can begin.

It may seem overwhelming, but using STN Cash only takes a few seconds once you sit down at the machine.

Once a player finishes gambling at a machine, they can collect their winnings as a TITO to convert into cash. Alternatively, players have the option to redeposit these funds into the app for future use.

Earning Boarding Pass points

Connecting a Boarding Pass to an STN cash lessens the requirement for cash and a Station Casinos rewards card when engaging in machine games.

Reward points can be earned by players for use at the venues within any Station Casinos property.

  • Restaurants
  • Lounges and Bars
  • Cinema Halls
  • Bowling Alleys
  • Salons & Spas
  • Rooms in a Hotel
  • Showrooms

The company also provides a Station Casinos credit card that allows users to accumulate Boarding Pass points both on and off their properties. Players can earn Boarding Pass points by playing machine games at specified rates.

  • Slot Machines: Earn one (1) base point for every $1 spent.
  • Keno Machines: Earn one (1) base point for every dollar ($1) of coin-in.
  • Video Poker: Earn one (1) base point for every $2 you put in.

Even though players can use STN Cash for the games, Station Casinos does not provide Boarding Pass points for ETGs or video blackjack.

Boarding Pass points can also be earned by players through playing table games, sports and horse betting, poker, live keno, and bingo.
