[toc]Poker enthusiasts are soon going to experience live action from one of the most iconic poker rooms in Las Vegas. Indeed, Bellagio Poker Room declared via their Twitter account just last week that they will shortly be live streaming their mid to high-stakes games on a new Twitch Channel.

The channel is named BellagioPOTS, with POTS being an acronym for Poker On The Strip in the context of the name.

The Bellagio Poker Room’s Twitter account has announced that the Twitch Stream will begin live coverage of the room’s No Limit Hold’em game, with a buy-in of $500-$2,000 and stakes of $2-$5-$10, starting at 7 p.m. local time in Las Vegas on April 26.

Live streaming every week in May

The Bellagio is planning Twitch broadcasts similar to previous ones on May 3, May 10, and May 17.

Additionally, the schedule includes plans to stream a No Limit Hold’em game with a buy-in ranging from $800 to $5,000 on May 24 at 7 p.m. There may be even bigger action if it’s available in the room at that time. The entrance fee for this game will be between $10 and $20.

The BellagioPOTS Twitch Stream plans to pause for the 2017 World Series of Poker and will resume after the summer.

In the coming weeks, Bellagio will be releasing more details on the @BellagioPoker Twitter account. Anyone wishing to get more information is encouraged to reach out to the Bellagio Poker Room at [email protected] via email.

Bellagio: Las Vegas’ premier poker destination

For a long time, the Bellagio Poker Room has proclaimed itself as the foremost poker destination in Las Vegas.

Indeed, the room itself boasts 37 poker tables and frequently hosts various World Poker Tour events, including the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic.

The Bellagio Poker Room not only houses the globally renowned Bobby’s Room, but it’s also named after the professional poker player, casino executive, and 1978 WSOP Main Event champ, Bobby Baldwin. It’s noteworthy to mention that Bobby’s Room is a regular venue for some of the largest cash games worldwide.

Mixed games with limits reaching up to $4,000/$8,000 are played in the room, which is frequented by some of the most audacious names in poker. These include Doyle Brunson, Barry Greenstein, Gus Hansen, Phil Ivey, and Daniel Negreanu.

Additionally, Chip Reese regularly attended the Big Game in Bobby’s room until his death in 2007.

Poker is growing on Twitch

Twitch, a live streaming platform specifically for gamers, attracts over 100 million views monthly. A rising section on this site is poker, spearheaded by Jason Somerville from Team PokerStars Pro.

In 2016, Somerville made history as the first poker streamer to reach 10 million views. His live stream, Run it Up!, continues to be the most popular poker stream on Twitch. Annually, Somerville streams more than 1,000 hours on the streaming platform.

The BellagioPOTS Twitch Stream won’t be the inaugural to broadcast live cash-game action directly from a casino floor in the United States. That distinction belongs to Live at the Bike, regularly streaming from the floor of the Bicycle Hotel & Casino located in Bell Gardens, California.
