On Friday, MGM Resorts unveiled its national sports betting brand, BetMGM, in Nevada. This was announced at a small event held at Park MGM. BetMGM, a new venture of MGM Resorts, is a result of their partnership with Roar Digital – a joint venture with GVC Holdings.

The launch is not merely a rebranding, it provides Nevada inhabitants and tourists with a novel mobile sports gambling app and enhanced casino experiences. Alongside introducing the BetMGM app, the company is also revamping its sportsbooks and installing over 100 gaming kiosks throughout MGM’s Las Vegas establishments.

BetMGM Mobile App

The latest BetMGM mobile betting app is a significant improvement from the previous PlayMGM app created by IGT. With a sleek design and user-friendly interface, the new app operates more seamlessly than its predecessor.

The most significant update in the BetMGM app is the introduction of live betting. Prior to this, MGM only provided in-game odds which were adjusted during game breaks. The updated app now presents a broader range of live betting choices, inclusive of game prop bets.

With the BetMGM app, live bets can be adjusted throughout the games, providing more betting opportunities for the user. Adam Greenblatt, CEO of Roar Digital, disclosed to Sports Techie that a particular bettor was able to place 421 bets within a single week, a level of activity that may not have been feasible with the previous app.

BetMGM’s operations in Nevada will vary from other places where MGM Resorts provides legal sports betting. The odds for BetMGM in Nevada are generated by the odds team based in Las Vegas. While this won’t significantly alter the betting experience for Nevada sports bettors, the information could vary from BetMGM sportsbooks throughout the rest of the country.

BetMGM utilizes sports betting promotions and boosts as a significant part of its brand promotion on Twitter. However, these promotions will not be immediately available in Nevada. Eventually, BetMGM plans to offer such promotions and emphasize wagering on local teams such as the Golden Knights and Raiders.

BetMGM Casino And Sportsbook Upgrades

BetMGM sportsbooks, with a fresh new branding, are set to launch at the following MGM Resorts Las Vegas casinos in the forthcoming weeks:

  • Aria
  • Bellagio
  • Excalibur
  • Luxor
  • Mandalay Bay
  • MGM Grand
  • The Mirage
  • New York-New York

The first MGM Resorts sportsbook to undergo changes is Park MGM. Last year, MGM Resorts initiated these changes with minor renovations to the Moneyline sportsbook. Enhancements included improved lighting and an increased number of cocktail tables with barstools in the main sports bar and restaurant area. Now, the Moneyline sportsbook has become the first BetMGM sportsbook in Las Vegas.

The enlarged betting area at the sports bar and book now offers more space, which should facilitate faster lines for placing bets. This improvement should also be reflected at all BetMGM sportsbooks in Las Vegas. Additionally, the rebranding process includes the introduction of sports wagering kiosks at all properties.

MGM Resorts is adding over 100 sports betting kiosks across its eight casinos and sportsbooks. These self-service wagering stations are expected to reduce queues for bet placement with human operators. They should also simplify the betting process for new punters who typically gamble online at home and aren’t accustomed to betting in person. Park MGM has installed these kiosks outside its sportsbook and also near the Starbucks closer to the lobby and hotel rooms.

MGM Resorts is set to upgrade other sportsbooks shortly. Anticipate alterations to the Mandalay Bay and Luxor sportsbooks ahead of the Las Vegas Raiders’ new season.

M Life Rewards Integration

BetMGM mobile accounts are linked to each player’s M Life Rewards membership. MGM Resorts is set to incorporate BetMGM mobile bets with the M Life Rewards program soon. In the upcoming two to three months, bettors will start earning M Life Rewards points for their wagers.

You can redeem M Life Rewards points for rooms, meals, spa treatments and more at MGM Resorts in Las Vegas and other locations around the country.

  • Beau Rivage (Mississippi)
  • Borgata (New Jersey)
  • MGM Grand Detroit (Michigan)
  • Gold Strike Tunica (Mississippi)
  • MGM National Harbor (Maryland)
  • MGM Springfield (Massachusetts)

The improvements to MGM Resorts sportsbooks aim to enhance the sports betting experience for both residents and visitors. However, MGM Resorts casinos provide more than merely sports betting. In contrast to other sportsbook operators nationwide, these casinos also feature shows, restaurants, bars, clubs, and spas.

Connecting M Life Rewards and BetMGM will provide sports bettors the opportunity to use their rewards towards visits to Las Vegas or any other MGM locations. This distinctive advantage is not offered by all legal US sportsbooks.
