Nevada football contest with Circa Sports

Circa Sports is once again setting a new standard for professional football contests in Nevada.

This year, Circa Sports guarantees a $12 million prize pool for its Circa Sports Million and Circa Survivor contests. This prize pool signifies a 20% rise from the 2021 contests.

The prize pool for the Circa Millions pro football handicapping contest is being raised from $4 million to $6 million. Even though the Nevada sportsbook operator lost $1.9 million on the Circa Survivor contest last year, its prize pool will stay at $6 million.

Residents of Nevada have the option to enter their picks in person at any Circa Sports retail location. Alternatively, they can use a kiosk at these retail locations for the same purpose. They also have the option to submit their picks via the Circa Sports Nevada sports betting app.

Last year, Circa Sports awarded at least $1 million in prizes to six contestants following the season between the two contests. Notably, the Circa Survivor contest alone created five millionaires.

This morning, Derek Stevens, the owner of Circa Sports, and Mike Palm, the VP of Operations, announced on VSiN (Vegas Sports and Information Network).

You must register for the contests in Nevada before the NFL season starts. When registration becomes available, Circa Sports will not accept registrations for the two contests from Colorado, Iowa, or Illinois.

It is not necessary for participants to reside in Nevada. Residents from other states can join the Circa Sports contests by utilizing a proxy service.

Out-of-state residents wishing to participate in Circa Sports contests must physically visit a Circa Sports location in Nevada to register in person with the proxy service personnel.

Once the player has successfully registered, they can utilize a proxy service to submit their picks. However, while this service provides convenience, it is not free of charge. There is a fee associated with the use of football contest proxies.

Contestants can sign up for the competitions at any Circa Sports location in Nevada.

The two competitions will resemble those of past years, but with several modifications.

Circa Sports Million IV

The Circa Sports Million is a classic pro football handicapping competition. To participate, contestants must pay an entry fee of $1,000. This year, each participant is permitted to have up to 3 entries in the contest.

Every week of the NFL season, players will choose 5 games against a set spread. Once established, the point spread will remain unaltered. For each correct selection, an entry will earn one point and a half point (0.5) for a push.

During the pro football regular season, contest point spreads will be accessible around 10:00 am every Thursday. Weekly selections must be made by 4:00 pm each Saturday of the season.

A participant must submit all five selections for the week before the kickoff of a Thursday night football game they wish to select.

The Circa Sports Million contest is set to pay quarterly prizes once again. Each “quarter” of the season, the prize pool will be no less than $300,000. If entries exceed the break-even point, the prize pool could potentially increase.

The four “quarters” of Circa Sports are divided into Weeks 1-4, 5-9, 10-13, and 14-18. The top performers for each “quarter” will receive payment.

Are you a Circa Survivor?

Circa Survivor is a fairly conventional contest of its type. The participation fee for this game is $1,000. Every participant is allowed a maximum of six entries.

In the Circa Survivor contest, which spans 20 “weeks”, participants are required to select a different winning team each week.

If a participant’s entry loses in the Thursday Night Football game on Sep. 8, they have the option to purchase a new entry for the contest before the games start on Sep. 10 to substitute the losing entry.

The entry deadline is 2 pm on Saturday, September 10, 2022. This year introduces a new feature where participants who lose their first game have the option to buy back into the competition. A maximum of three losing entries can be substituted.

For each entry, contestants are allowed to make up to 20 picks for the season. Players will continue making selections until they make an incorrect pick.

Participants will choose a game for every week from Week 1 to Week 18 of the NFL. In addition to this, selections will also be made for games on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, amounting to a total of 20 “weeks” of selections.

The cutoff for Circa Survivor selections each Contest Week is 4:00 pm on Saturday, except for two special cases.

The deadline to submit for the contest “week” encompassing Thanksgiving Day is at 10 pm on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. For the Christmas contest “week”, submissions are due by 10 pm on Friday, December 23, 2022.

Should you find this perplexing, refer to the specific information provided in the Circa Survivor contest rules.

What are the Circa Survivor prizes?

The prize pool for the Circa Survivor contest will be assured a minimum of $6 million. Should the entry fees for Circa Survivor exceed $6 million, the extra amount will be added to the prize pool as there are no rake or administration fees.

This year’s contest has a unique twist – a $1 million bonus prize. It will be awarded to entries that achieve a 20-0 run without picking the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals during the competition.

The Circa Survivor contest does not charge any rake. All entry fees will be distributed among the participants.
