Golden Knights Odds As Western Conference Series With Dallas Stars Tied 1-1

The Vegas Golden Knights had a tough start in the NHL’s Western Conference Finals over the extended weekend. The Dallas Stars shut them out and dominated them, while popular player Ryan Reaves was absent from the first game.

The second match in the series would be a turning point. A series that’s tied progresses differently than when there is a deficit of two games.

Vegas Golden Knights even up the series

The Golden Knights took a 3-0 lead in the game with a beautiful goal involving tic-tac-toe passing, drawing the series level at one game each.

Although the goal was spectacular, goalie Robin Lehner could have been the game’s star.

Not only did he secure a win for the Golden Knights with a 24-save shutout, but he also won the fans a free dozen doughnuts for the fourth time since the bubble play began.

Thanks to his four playoff shutouts, Lehner is rapidly gaining popularity as one of the Golden Knights.

Vegas’s odds going forward

BetMGM Sportsbook now lists the Vegas Golden Knights as -230 favorites to win the Western Conference Finals.

Meanwhile, the Stars are regarded as +190 underdogs to win the series. For Game 3 of the series against the Stars, Nevada’s home team is favored with -165 odds, while the Stars are seen as +145 underdogs.

Before last night’s game, a bettor made a hefty $50,000 bet at BetMGM, predicting that the Golden Knights will clinch the Stanley Cup. If the Vegas team does secure the Cup, the bettor stands to win $125,000 from the wager, resulting in total winnings of $175,000 from the +250 bet.

Currently, BetMGM has set the futures odds for the Vegas Golden Knights to win the NHL championship at +165. In comparison, the Dallas Stars have odds of +600 to take the championship.

The Tampa Bay Lightning are currently the +110 favorites at BetMGM to win the Stanley Cup.

Duane Colucci, Rampart Casino Race and Sports Director, last night informed NBC Sports about a potential final between the Golden Knights and the Lightning.

Prior to the conference finals, the competition was tight. Due to our location in Vegas, it’s necessary to consider a -120, -125 series line on the Knights. For those based on the east coast, they may perceive a shift on Tampa possibly being -120. The Knights appeared to have a strong performance until the recent series of games. The series is closely contested… unless Tampa consistently defeats the Islanders with an 8-2 score in every game.

The Golden Knights must defeat the Dallas Stars before they can play against the Lightning or New York Islanders for the Stanley Cup.

The third game in the series is scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 10, at 5 p.m. local time.
