Las Vegas Casinos, Sahara And Tropicana Present New Players Clubs

2 casinos in Las Vegas introduce new players clubs

Bally’s Corp, just a few days subsequent to finalizing a deal to run the Tropicana, unveiled a new players club for the property. Concurrently, Sahara, located on the opposite side of the Vegas Strip, disclosed information about its restructured Infinity Rewards players club.

The new Rewards program at Tropicana Las Vegas supersedes the former Mychoice Rewards program from the previous property owners. Infinity Rewards is merely a revamped version of the Sahara players club.

Tropicana will only match tiers for members from the casino’s earlier rewards program. On the other hand, Sahara will match the tier status from selected rewards programs of other casino operators.

Although the Nevada casinos are located at different ends of the Vegas Strip, they share a similarity in their rewards programs. Both are traditional casino players clubs.

Both programs exclusively provide rewards to gamblers who spend money on slots, other machine games, and table games. Contrary to most new rewards programs, neither of them extends benefits to guests who spend money on retail, shopping, or dining.

The significant distinction between the two players clubs lies in the speed at which guests can accumulate points for use within each casino.

Sahara Infinity Rewards

The Sahara and Grand Sierra Resort (GSR) in Reno, NV have a common owner. Additionally, they are linked through the Infinity Rewards program.

Players at both Sahara and GSR can enjoy additional benefits offered by Infinity Rewards. However, points can solely be obtained through playing.

  • Table games
  • Slots
  • Video poker
  • Keno
  • Other machine games

Sahara now provides a competitive level matching for its players club. The casino will equate the tier level of a players club member to their status with other selected casino loyalty programs.

Matching tiers is a valid reason to observe how a new casino caters to its high-tier clients.

Other benefits offered by Infinity Rewards consist of VIP parking and exclusive priority lines at the hotel, restaurants, casino cage, and Infinity Rewards desk.

Members will also enjoy discounts on cabanas and daybeds at Azilo Ultra Pool, as well as special deals, complimentary offers, invites to exclusive events and more.

Earn Points Quickly

The primary advantage of the new program is the ability for players to accumulate points up to six times quicker when engaging with slot machines. Every advanced tier level provides players with a slot point multiplier that escalates as they achieve higher status.

At Sahara, players will accumulate one tier credit and one slot point for every dollar they spend. Those playing video poker and keno will receive one point for every $2 they wager.

Just like other casino rewards programs, the rating of table game players depends on the game, duration of play, and bet size.

Sahara boasts one of the highest earnings rates in Las Vegas.

By comparison, Station Casinos offers similar earning rates to Wynn, which is situated further down the Vegas Strip. At this casino, players can accumulate one point for every $5 spent on slot play. However, depending on the game, it may require $10 or $20 worth of video poker play to earn a point.

Earning 1,000 slot points is equivalent to getting $1 in comps or free play, which can be used for food and beverages at either casino.

Infinity Rewards Tier Benefits

When gambling, tier credits are accumulated at an equal rate to slot points. There are six different levels of tier benefits provided by Infinity Rewards.

  • Select: Everyone
  • Premier: 1,000 Tier Credits
  • Elite: 7,500 Tier Credits
  • Legend: 50,000 Tier Credits
  • Iconic: 200,000 Tier Credits
  • Infinite: Invite Only

The Select and Premier tier levels provide comparable benefits. However, the Premier tier stands out with its 2x point multiplier, which is the key differentiating factor.

The benefits of the tier system become apparent as players ascend to the Legend level. Complimentary resort fees are offered at this level and beyond, translating into a nightly savings of $39.95 for every hotel stay of the player.

The perks of a hotel stay aren’t limited to free resort fees. Guests at the Legend level and above also enjoy complimentary room upgrades if available. In addition, these guests are offered the convenience of early check-in and check-out, as well as a 4x slot point bonus.

As expected, the Infinite level, which is by invite-only, provides the top-tier benefits. Players at this level are gifted with a free suite upgrade for all their stays at Sahara.

In addition to the benefits that all other tier levels enjoy, Infinite members are granted VIP car service and a complimentary Cabana or Daybed at the Azul pool.

Tropicana Las Vegas Rewards

In late September, Bally’s completed the purchase of Tropicana. Shortly after, the casino introduced a new players club called Tropicana Las Vegas Rewards.

It’s worth noting that Tropicana Las Vegas operates independently and is not linked to any other Tropicana casinos. In the same vein, its owner, Bally’s, has no connection to Bally’s Las Vegas. All these properties utilize their own distinct rewards programs that are not affiliated with either Bally’s Corp. or Tropicana Las Vegas.

This is a casino players club, akin to Sahara’s Infinity Rewards, exclusive to Tropicana. However, points are only awarded to guests for gambling activities. No points are given for dining, drinking, or staying at Tropicana.

The previous Mychoice rewards program from Penn Entertainment has been replaced by Tropicana Las Vegas Rewards. Tropicana no longer accepts Mychoice. Members can redeem any remaining points at M Resort, located in Henderson, NV.

Members from the prior club will have their status aligned with the new rewards program. However, all rewards for Tropicana Las Vegas will commence from zero points.

Different From Bally Rewards

This seems to be an interim players club as Bally’s integrates Tropicana into its nationwide rewards scheme, Bally Rewards. The national scheme is presently accessible at the company’s Lake Tahoe property.

The complete integration of Tropicana with Bally’s is expected to take approximately a year. As a point of reference, MGM Resorts finalized its operation deal with The Cosmopolitan earlier this year.

Only within the new sportsbook at The Cosmopolitan can guests earn MGM Rewards points. The rest of the property will not be part of the MGM Rewards program until the following year.

Tropicana Las Vegas Rewards Tier Levels

Due to the late closing of the Tropicana purchase deal within the year, players’ tier levels will be extended beyond this year. Players who qualify for a higher tier will maintain their status for both this year and the following qualifying period.

The period for attaining tier status extends until Dec. 31, 2025. This provides players with some additional time to achieve a higher status. However, anticipate a change in this arrangement after the coming year.

This program, Tropicana Las Vegas Rewards, is structurally different from Bally Rewards as it has five distinct tier levels compared to Bally Rewards’ four.

  • Rookie: Everyone
  • Pro: 1,000-17,999 points
  • Star: 18,000-49,999 points
  • Superstar: 50,000-199,999 points
  • Rewritten: If you score 200,000 points or more, you’ll achieve the status of Legend.

The rates at which players accumulate tier points when gambling at Tropicana are as follows:

  • For every $5 of Coin-In on slot machines, you earn one (1) tier point.
  • For every $10 of Coin-In in Video Poker, you earn one (1) tier point.
  • For every $40 of Coin-In on Electronic Table Games, you earn one (1) tier point.
  • Based on the type of game, duration of play, and average bet, these are table games.

Currently, no points from horse racing and sports betting are available as William Hill is in charge of the race and sports book.

While Tropicana provides clear instructions on how to accumulate tier points, the company doesn’t do the same for comp points intended for casino use.

Players accumulate comp points from table and machine games, which are determined by the type of game, denomination, and duration of play. However, calculating the precise method of awarding comp points can be time-consuming for players.

Tier Benefits

The Tropicana Las Vegas Rewards program is exclusive to a single casino in Las Vegas, with most of the tier benefits primarily focused on the property.

Any tier level could be eligible for complimentary travel to a Bally’s property outside Las Vegas, depending on the extent of someone’s gambling. Bally’s casinos are located as near as Lake Tahoe and as distant as Atlantic City, NJ.

All individuals who are members enjoy free self-parking at Tropicana. The benefits are largely identical for The Rookie, Pro, and Star tier levels. Parking charges begin at $5 and increase during neighboring events.

The additional perks for Pro and Star levels are insignificant. Special event invitations will be extended to members of both tiers. However, those at the Star level get priority seating in the restaurants.

Players start to unlock more substantial benefits at the Superstar level, which requires 50,000 tier points. This level provides complimentary resort fees, which equates to a $37 per night value for guests at Tropicana.

Members who attain this level and higher are entitled to two free tickets for shows at Tropicana and a wide range of VIP privileges. Upon reaching Legend status, members will be gifted two extra tickets and the benefit of early entry to shows.

Top-tier Legend members can enjoy some highlights such as:

  • Limo transfers to and from the airport are complimentary.
  • An annual celebration dinner
  • Annual birthday dinner
  • Complimentary early check-in/late check-out
  • A complimentary room is guaranteed with a 48-hour notice.
