Caesars’ Vegas Resorts Feature Largest Linked Progressive Table Games

Client preferences frequently fluctuate. At times, these align with corporate business strategies, but not always. However, a trend among customers in Las Vegas appears to be pleasing both leisure gamblers and casino companies.

Las Vegas jackpots!

Guests at Las Vegas casinos have been trying their luck at games in hopes of hitting big jackpots for the past few years. This trend is on the rise, as casinos are keen to provide popular games with larger jackpots, which also come with a bigger house edge.

  • Slot Machines: Megabucks slot machines are a favorite among gamblers due to the enormous jackpots available in the linked machines across the state. Other linked progressive slot machines also offer substantial, albeit smaller, jackpots.
  • Sportsbooks: Seasoned and skilled gamblers are comfortable betting $110 to potentially win $100. On the other hand, many younger gamblers who are chasing big winnings prefer to make smaller bets, using small money parlays that could transform a $3 bet into a $2,400 win.
  • Table Games: Rather than engaging in games that offer even money, table game enthusiasts are in pursuit of jackpots that come with side bets, paying multiples, or progressive jackpots.

Caesars introduces Progressive Pai Gow Jackpot

Caesars Entertainment launched a progressive jackpot for Pai Gow Poker in May, which connects 37 Fortune Pai Gow tables across its nine Las Vegas resorts. The casinos that offer this progressive jackpot include:

  • Bally’s
  • Caesars Palace
  • The Cromwell
  • Harrah’s
  • Flamingo
  • The Linq
  • Paris Las Vegas
  • Planet Hollywood
  • Rio

This instantly turned into the most extensive table network in Las Vegas. The voluntary $5 side bet enables rapid growth of jackpots, allowing them to reach substantial amounts and pay out frequently.

The Fortune Pai Gow Mega jackpot is won with a seven-card straight flush, the Major jackpot requires five aces, and the Minor jackpot is won with a royal flush.

A progressive jackpot of $1.4 million was won by a Pai Gow player at Rio, just over a month after the Mega Jackpot was introduced.

Caesars expands progressive jackpots to more games

Following the win on the Pai Gow progressive jackpot, Caesars Entertainment broadened their progressive jackpots to include other table games. Currently, they offer 245 table games such as Blackjack and Poker derivatives (including Fortune Pai Gow), all with linked progressive jackpots, at their Las Vegas casinos.

In 2018, Caesars Entertainment made at least eight people millionaires through their new progressive jackpots and other side bets.

Caesars Entertainment isn’t the sole casino firm that provides linked table game jackpots. Games at properties owned by Boyd Gaming and Station Casinos only necessitate a $1 bet. As a result of these lower limit bets, their progressive jackpots are smaller.

Not all side bets are the same

Side bets in traditional table games always provide a house edge for the casino, which often remains significant and constant.

The house edge for progressive side bets is quite significant, potentially just below or above 10 percent. As the jackpot fluctuates, the house edge may also vary.

The benefit of progressive jackpots is their rapid growth, which can reach a point of break-even, making them a worthwhile bet.
