Customers can take advantage of three methods to accrue additional MGM Rewards points, tier credits, and elevate their status with MGM Resorts. However, these promotions are available for a limited time only.
MGM Rewards has launched a new promotion, Daily Tier Rewards Accelerator, designed to assist members in achieving a higher status swiftly at their Nevada casinos. The MGM Rewards Mastercard provides instant tier status upgrades for new members along with reward point promotions on different purchases. Additionally, MGM Rewards introduced a new Tier Match program for the year 2025.
These promotions are designed to assist players in ascending to higher levels in the MGM Rewards system. Every advancement to a higher level in the casino rewards program brings added perks like free parking, waived resort charges, priority access at dining facilities and hotel check-in, among others.
Additionally, the credit card allows MGM guests to accumulate points for use at casinos nationwide.
MGM Rewards Tier Accelerator
The daily promotion, MGM Rewards Tier Accelerator, is only available at the Las Vegas casinos until July 31.
When guests earn specific amounts of Tier Credits during a promotional day at an MGM Rewards Las Vegas casino, they can attain one of four bonus levels. Eligible spending can earn Tier Credits, this includes:
- Gambling
- Hotel Rooms
- Dining
- Entertainment
- Spa treatments
Guests accumulate four Tier Credits for every dollar they spend on hotel accommodations, dining, spa and salon services, and entertainment. However, the credit earning rate for those who gamble is not as clear.
This promotion allows players to accrue Tier Credits from slot machines, video poker, and table games, depending on the duration of play, average bet, and type of game. However, sports wagers made at BetMGM sportsbooks or through mobile sports betting apps are not eligible for this promotion.
This promotion is designed for tourists visiting Las Vegas. To qualify for the MGM Rewards Tier Accelerator, guests must present their physical or digital MGM Rewards card with every qualifying purchase or while gambling at an MGM Rewards Las Vegas establishment. Additionally, guests can also make charges to their hotel folio, provided it is connected to their MGM Rewards card.
Accelerator Milestones
Guests have four different levels of the MGM Rewards Tier Accelerator available to them:
- First Milestone of Accelerator: Receive 1,250 Bonus Tier Credits once you earn 5,000 Tier Credits.
- Milestone #2 for Accelerator: Accumulate 10,000 Tier Credits to get an additional 5,000 Bonus Tier Credits.
- Milestone #3 for Accelerator: Accumulate 20,000 Tier Credits to get an additional 20,000 Bonus Tier Credits.
- Milestone #4 in the Accelerator program: Receive 60,000 Bonus Tier Credits when you earn 40,000 Tier Credits.
If guests achieve the milestone in two consecutive days, those who reach Accelerators 3 and 4 will attain gold and platinum status, respectively.
Each promotional day starts at 6:00 am (PT) and concludes at 5:59 am (PT) the following day. The promotion resets daily, and any earned Tier Credits do not carry over to the next day.
Spend Requirement
Promotions are beneficial, however, to reach Accelerator Milestone #1, you must spend a minimum of $1,250 daily. Determining the exact amount to be expended on gambling is challenging, as it does not depend on any fixed spend quantity. Achieving other milestones requiring more Tier Credits will necessitate an even greater financial outlay.

MGM Rewards Credit Card
The MGM Rewards Mastercard isn’t a new offering. However, a promotion is currently available for new registrants.
New cardholders, for the first time, can now earn Tier Credits until March 31. This is similar to the Accelerator promotion, enabling MGM Rewards members to attain higher Tier Status at a faster pace.
New cardholders can qualify to receive 20,000 Tier Credits and 20,000 Points, provided they spend a total of $1,500 within the first three billing cycles after their account is opened.
The MGM Rewards Mastercard does not have an annual fee. While its function is similar to other branded credit cards, it is linked to the MGM Rewards program.
Cardholders are automatically upgraded to the MGM Rewards Pearl status. This grants free self-parking. The following are additional benefits from MGM Rewards that all cardholders can enjoy:
- For every $1 spent at MGM Rewards properties in the US, you will earn triple points and tier credits.
- Get double points and tier credits for every dollar you spend on gas and supermarket purchases.
- For every $1 spent anywhere, including on BetMGM Deposits, you earn 1X Points and Tier Credits.

MGM Rewards Tier Match
The Tier Match promotion by MGM Rewards is available until June 30. To participate, guests have to present a high-tier rewards card from a different program at an MGM Rewards counter and ask for a Tier Match. Their MGM Rewards Tier will then be upgraded to match the higher tier from the other program. The whole process should only take a few minutes.
This fairly routine promotion enables guests to immediately level up to Pearl, Gold, or Platinum status with MGM Rewards. The matches for this year may vary compared to past Tier Match promotions.
Here are a few examples of Las Vegas rewards programs that MGM Rewards will match tiers with.
Caesars Rewards
Diamond members will be promoted to Pearl in MGM Rewards. Those with Diamond Plus membership will progress to Gold in MGM Rewards. Members of Diamond Elite and Seven Stars will move up to Platinum in MGM Rewards.
The Venetian Club Grazi
Grazie Elite will be promoted to MGM Rewards Pearl, while Paiza Gold will progress to MGM Rewards Gold.
