As promised, the complete daily event schedule for the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) has been released by Caesars.
In late December, the operator hinted at some of the WSOP events when it first announced that the poker tournament would be held from May 30 to July 18.
The 54th edition of WSOP will be held in 2025. This will be the second year in a row that the event will be hosted on the Vegas Strip at Paris and Horseshoe (previously known as Bally’s).
WSOP will feature an increased number of tables, a broader range of games, and the highest number of bracelet events in its history this year, according to Ty Stewart, the SVP & Executive Director of WSOP.
“Following the WSOP’s successful debut on the Las Vegas Strip last year, we anticipate a record-breaking WSOP and World Championship at Paris and Horseshoe Las Vegas in 2025, propelled by the momentum generated.”
The primary focus of setting records for WSOP will revolve around the Main Event.
Taking The WSOP Main Event To The Next Level
Stewart went on to say, “if the Main Event is on your bucket list, this is the year to make it to Vegas.”
To provide some context, 8,662 players took part in the inaugural WSOP Main Event on the Vegas Strip last year. This marked the second highest participation in the Main Event.
Norwegian Espen Jorstad won the Main Event, bagging the $10 million first-place prize and the WSOP championship bracelet.
Caesars has launched a new series of promotions, aiming to exceed the record number of participants in the 2006 WSOP Main Event. The “Main Event Mania” will consist of five different promotions designed to boost the number of participants in the year’s most popular poker event.
600 Main Event Seats Guaranteed from GGPoker
GGPoker, the world’s largest poker room, is also the exclusive satellite partner of WSOP. They plan to provide 500 guaranteed seats for the Main Event on their website.
In addition to this, the subscription site ClubGG.net will hold international qualifiers and offer an additional 100 seats for the Main Event.
In total, GGPoker will provide 600 seats for the Main Event, translating to $6,000,000 in the prize pool. This signifies a significant growth that more than doubles the number of GGPoker’s official qualifiers as compared to the 2022 series.
Main Event Mania at Casinos Worldwide
WSOP’s inaugural Global Qualification Weekend is scheduled for May 20 and 21. This promotional event will be held in live poker rooms across five continents worldwide.
Poker rooms globally will host Guaranteed Seat satellite tournaments to qualify players for the 2025 Main Event. They will each provide a “step” tournament with a buy-in of $140. This will conclude with a mega prize of $1,175, which includes a guaranteed seat and a travel allowance to Las Vegas.
WSOP.COM’s 112-Seat Sprint
Once the event begins in Las Vegas, WSOP.com will offer more opportunities for players to secure a place in the Main Event. Between June 25 and July 8, WSOP Online will guarantee a total of 112 Main Event seats.
The 25-Seat Scramble, with a $250,000 guarantee, should be the biggest event. It is set to take place on Sunday, July 2.
On Saturday, July 8, there will be a last-chance drawing for the final seat in the Main Event.
WSOP.COM Online Bracelet Events
The WSOP Online Bracelet events are returning this year, with the online bracelet events scheduled to occur every Sunday throughout the summer.
Three “Double Up Bracelet Days” are scheduled on June 4, June 25, and July 9. The WSOP Online schedule features the $500 Summer Saver, a $3,200 High Roller, and the flagship $1,000 NLHE Online Championship.
The latest WSOP Online events include the $300 Summer Kick-Off and a $5,300 High Roller Championship Event. The final table of the High Roller Championship will be played live in Las Vegas during the WSOP Online Championship Week.
Main Event for Life
This is yet to be decided and will only occur if the WSOP Main Event record is surpassed. Should that occur, all Main Event participants will be entered into a lottery to win a non-transferable Main Event buy-in for the following 30 years.
The drawing, which will use each player’s Caesars Rewards number, is scheduled for Saturday, July 8.
