More WSOP.com history
Online poker has been legal and regulated in Nevada since February 2013.
In May 2013, Ultimate Poker made history as the first site to offer licensed and regulated online poker games for real money in the state. However, WSOP.com launched in the following fall and swiftly dominated the market.
WSOP.com operates an extensive online satellite program that provides entry into live WSOP events. Moreover, in 2015, for the first time, the site gave players the opportunity to win a WSOP bracelet by playing online on WSOP.com.
In 2017, three bracelet events were hosted by WSOP.com. This upcoming summer, the site is set to host four, including the inaugural online Pot-Limit Omaha bracelet event.
