The Westgate SuperBook and South Point, two of Nevada’s most sophisticated sports betting apps, are back in operation. They have reactivated their individual sports wagering applications prior to reopening their physical casinos.
In an effort to curb the spread of coronavirus, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak mandated the closure of casinos in March. However, four Nevada sports betting apps – BetMGM, Caesars, Circa Sports, and William Hill – continued to operate their apps.
PlayNevada reported last week that the Westgate SuperBook would launch its app in time for the major UFC fight card this weekend. Additionally, South Point announced this week that its sports betting app would also make a comeback.
Curbside deposits
Customers who were already registered with the four sportsbooks that were operating in March and April have been able to place bets on games and top up their accounts using their mobile devices. However, due to Nevada’s requirement that new mobile sports betting accounts be set up in person, it was impossible for someone to open a new account. This restriction has now been lifted for certain sportsbook apps.
Various restaurants across Nevada have adapted to the current situation by providing curbside pickup for customers who want meals prepared by others. Similarly, several sportsbook operators have now chosen to provide curbside services for their clients too.
South Point
The South Point sports betting app recently announced an innovative approach for guests to initiate new accounts and replenish existing ones. New account registration and deposits for current South Point sports betting customers are now open every day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the property’s valet entrance. Customers can either sign up or deposit without having to leave their cars, ensuring safe and socially distant transactions.
Circa Sports
Circa Sports is providing a comparable drive-up service for its patrons at the Golden Gate Hotel & Casino valet every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Current customers have the ability to top up their accounts face-to-face. Newbies can start a sports betting account and deposit funds. Bettors who have a winning sports wager ticket can visit the Golden Gate, deposit their winnings into their sports betting account. Furthermore, patrons have the opportunity to enroll in Circa Sports Millions and Circa Survivor competitions.
William Hill
On May 8 and 9, William Hill will provide a drive-thru service for both new and existing customers at four Nevada locations.
- Parking Lot of Alamo Casino, 8050 Dean Martin Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89139
- Parking Lot of Arizona Charlie’s Boulder: 4575 Boulder Hwy, Las Vegas, NV 89121
- Parking Lot of Arizona Charlie’s Decatur: 740 S Decatur Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89107
- Parking Lot of Sierra Sid’s Casino: 200 N McCarran Blvd, Sparks, NV 89431
This weekend, William Hill is also presenting a special “UFC Pay Per View” bonus for both new and existing users.
- New users can qualify for a $65 cash bonus if they make an initial deposit and bet at least $100 on UFC 249.
- If you are an existing user, you can receive a cash bonus of $65 if you bet a total of $249 on UFC 249.
The cost to purchase this weekend’s UFC Pay Per View on ESPN+ is a bonus of $65.
Funding Mobile Accounts Without Visiting A Casino
Many sports bettors find the service of curbside and valet account funding beneficial. However, once an account is set up, most Nevada sportsbooks can be funded without the necessity to visit a casino. Currently, the South Point sports wagering app is the only one where players can’t deposit and withdraw funds using a Play+ account.
Creating a Play+ account through individual sports betting apps is straightforward:
- Navigate to “My Account” on the relevant sports betting app.
- Select deposit or withdraw
- Join Play+
- Input the birth date and social security number.
- Read terms and conditions
- Click agree to set up the account for withdrawals or funding.
Nevada’s mobile sports betting deposit and withdrawal regulations differ from those in most other states. Although managing sports betting funds from a mobile device may be more convenient, this service is associated with fees.
Having an account or depositing and withdrawing funds comes at no cost. Nonetheless, each sportsbook may charge fees up to nearly 3%. The specific fees applicable can be found in the details provided by individual sports wagering apps.
