Mobile Wagering In Nevada Includes 4 Sports Betting Apps And 1 Poker Website

Sports Betting Apps

In Nevada, four sports betting applications are currently operational. Although land-based casinos throughout the state have ceased operations, some online gambling alternatives continue to be available.

Last week, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak recommended the closure of non-essential businesses, such as casinos, to retard the spread of coronavirus. As the week concluded, this recommendation was escalated to a directive.

However, some sports betting apps remain open for wagering. Michael Lawton, a research analyst for the Nevada Gaming Control Board, informed the Las Vegas Review-Journal that “mobile sports betting apps are permitted to keep running” even though the retail casinos are shut down.

Most sportsbooks have chosen to shut down their sports betting apps as well as their physical locations. However, a few still remain:

To register for a mobile sports wagering account in Nevada, players are required to sign up for an account at the sportsbook within a casino. After activating their account, customers with money in their account are eligible to place bets.

Three out of the four apps can be funded via mobile if there’s a need to fund an existing account. The only mobile sports wagering app that doesn’t permit mobile funding is Circa Sports.

Players can still fund a William Hill account at 7-11 stores as of today.

What are people betting on?

Currently, many traditional sports are not taking place. Seasons for the NBA, NHL, and MLB have all been postponed. However, despite the absence of major live American sports, games are still occurring worldwide. The choices, though, are considerably different from the usual US sports betting selections.

The sportsbooks are currently offering betting opportunities on soccer, Australian Rules Football, and Rugby. These are among the more traditional sports being played at the moment. Although not mainstream in America, these betting options have been available even before this month.

Sports bettors in Nevada are observing an increase in non-traditional sports being offered by different sportsbooks. William Hill provided odds on Haru Basho 2020 sumo wrestling over the weekend. This week, the international sportsbook operator is presenting odds on both Men’s and Women’s table tennis (also known as ping pong) matches.

Circa Sports is looking into new betting options for sports gamblers in Nevada. Over the recent weekend, the company tried to introduce betting on the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Series Invitational, but this was not permitted by the Nevada Gaming Control Board. However, Gaming Today reports that future eNASCAR betting could be allowed.

Betting on live sports in Nevada takes various forms, with Circa Sports making history as the first sportsbook in the state to publish NFL season win totals. This move has prompted changes in some of the NFL season win totals and odds at Circa Sports due to wagers being placed by bettors. Subsequently, William Hill has also released its NFL season win totals.

Circa Sports isn’t the only Nevada sportsbook with an eye on the future. Despite this year’s March Madness being canceled, William Hill has released odds for next year’s NCAA basketball championship. Duke, Gonzaga, Kansas, and Kentucky are all pegged as 10-1 favorites to emerge victorious after March Madness 2021. Here is the complete list of odds for the 2021 college basketball championship.

Circa Sports is innovating with NFL futures betting choices. The sportsbook operator has recently incorporated several Tom Brady prop bets for his inaugural season in Tampa Bay. Both Caesars and BetMGM are also offering futures for football and a variety of other sports, in addition to accepting bets on non-traditional sports.

WSOP.com is open and active

Wagering on niche sports or future sports events might not appeal to everyone. However, there’s another alternative for gambling at home during lockdown. WSOP.com Nevada stands as the sole online poker site operating in the Silver State.

The online poker site collaborates with its sister site in New Jersey to share a customer base. This joint player pool facilitates a larger number of games and welcomes more participants to join the action. Ultimately, with this shared player pool, WSOP.com Nevada has a greater amount of money to offer than it would if the player pool was strictly confined to Nevada.

Contrary to sports betting apps, you can set up WSOP.com Nevada accounts from any location within the state. To sign up at WSOP.com, use the unique Play Nevada WSOP promo code: Get10, and you’ll receive $10 free. Additionally, WSOP.com offers a 100% deposit match of up to $1,000.
