WSOP.com is set to hold its first-ever World Series of Poker Circuit online ring event this month.
The WSOP Circuit Rio Online Ring Event will go off Feb. 27 at 6:30 p.m. on the Nevada online poker site. This represents the first time ever players will have the chance to win an official WSOP Circuit Championship Ring playing online. WSOP.com can be played from anywhere inside Nevada.
The event comes with a $365 buy-in. However, WSOP.com kicked off online satellites beginning as low as $5 on Feb. 16. The satellites are running daily until the day of the event.
WSOP Circuit Ring freeroll
Players who make a deposit on the site may also be able to get in the $365 WSOP Circuit Rio Online Ring Event for free. In fact, all players who make a deposit on WSOP.com between Feb. 16 and 25 using the promo code 365RING will receive a ticket for a freeroll with a $365 WSOP Online Ring Event ticket up for grabs.
The freeroll will go off Feb. 26 at 6 p.m.
The 2017/18 WSOP Circuit Rio Las Vegas
The WSOP Circuit Rio Online Ring Event is a part of the 2017/18 WSOP Circuit Rio Las Vegas stop running Friday, Feb. 16 to Tuesday, Feb. 27 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.
The Rio is a Caesars Entertainment property that is also home to the annual World Series of Poker. The 2018 WSOP will run May 29 through July 17 with 78 official Gold Bracelet events.
The 2017/18 WSOP Circuit Rio Las Vegas stop kicks off with a five-day $250K Guarantee $365 No-Limit Hold’em event beginning Feb. 16. There are a total of 14 Gold Ring events on the schedule, including the $365 WSOP Circuit Rio Online Ring Event.
The $1 million-guaranteed $1,675 Main Event features two starting flights beginning Feb. 24. The largest buy-in event on the schedule is the $2,200 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller set for Feb. 26.
WSOP.com is running satellites into the Main Event as well. There are $30 satellites with one seat guaranteed for each tournament. These are running daily Feb. 18-24. Players can also win their way into these online satellites for as little as $3.
Las Vegas WSOP Circuit events
WSOP Circuit events held in Las Vegas are almost always among the tours most popular.
The last WSOP Circuit stop in Las Vegas was held at Planet Hollywood on the Las Vegas Strip in November 2017. The $1,675 Main Event drew a robust field of 845 entries, creating a $1,267,500 prize pool that smashed its $1 million guarantee. Fernando Galvan won the tournament for $247,160 and his first WSOP Circuit ring.
The last time the WSOP Circuit stopped at the Rio was February 2017. The $1,675 Main Event drew an outstanding 945 entries creating a $1,417,500 prize pool that crushed its $750,000 guarantee. Burlington, North Carolina’s Ryan Jones won the tournament and its $269,327 first-place prize.
