For the second consecutive year, The Match, Turner Sports’ next installment, is returning to Wynn Las Vegas.

The Match is set to begin at 3:30 p.m. PT on June 1, taking place at the Wynn Golf Club.

The 12-hole golf event will once again air exclusively on TNT.

The 2022 edition of The Match, a made-for-TV event, will, for the first time, not include any professional golfers. Instead, it will feature a foursome of some of the top current NFL quarterbacks.

The game will see veteran quarterbacks Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers face off against emerging talents Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen.

Last summer, Rodgers teamed up with Bryson Dechambeau to secure a win. The pair defeated Brady and Phil Mickelson with a score of 3 and 2.

As mentioned earlier, the veteran players, Brady and Rodgers, have both taken part in The Match previously. However, this will be the first time Mahomes and Allen will participate in The Match.

Betting On The Match

The Match is a distinctive golf event designed specifically for television. To ensure the action is constantly progressing, only 12 out of the 18 holes at the Wynn Golf Club will be utilized for The Match.

Viewers have incredible access to the players, which is not typical in traditional golf events on TV.

Throughout the entire competition, all four players will have their mics open.

The show is set to feature participants communicating directly with their rivals and also with the broadcast commentators. Details of the broadcast team will be disclosed by Turner Sports as the event approaches.

The Wynn Sports NV app is currently showing early betting odds favoring the experienced team for The Match. It’s worth noting that, like other national sportsbooks, the odds on the Wynn Sports NV app might differ from those in other states using the WynnBet app.

This also applies to other sports betting apps in Nevada.

At present, Brady and Rodgers are favored at -200. Currently, Mahomes and Allen are underdogs with odds of +170. There has already been a minor shift in the odds.

Wynn Golf Club

Last year, for the first time, Wynn Golf Club was the host of The Match, where Brooks Koepka triumphed over Rodgers’ previous partner, Bryson DeChambeau, with a score of 5-and-3.

The Match is among the numerous sports events that have contributed significantly to Las Vegas’s transformation into one of the top US cities for sports. Despite being a TV competition, it serves as an excellent promotion for one of the few golf courses situated on the Vegas Strip.

Once, the Wynn Las Vegas golf course was in danger of being removed. However, in 2017, the construction of Wynn Paradise Park was given the green light.

The golf course was already being demolished when the plan to incorporate a lagoon into the luxury resort was called off.

After undergoing a redesign by Tom Fazio, the Wynn Golf Club reopened in late 2019. The course, now sprawled over 129 acres at Wynn Las Vegas, features eight new holes and 10 updated ones in its new layout.

This course has a par of 70, with each nine featuring three par 3s and two par 5s. The total yardage varies from 4,810 to 6,722 yards, contingent upon the chosen tee from the available four options.

A full swing warm-up area with netting and a 6,500-square-foot practice putting green are available next to the first tee to prepare for a round on the links.

The Wynn Las Vegas golf course, one of the most costly public golf courses in the US, is generally available for public use, albeit at a high price.

The cost of green fees is $600, which includes the use of Calloway loaner clubs for those who require them.

Members of the Wynn Rewards Black tier are entitled to a free golf round for two at Wynn Golf Club.

Being a top-tier member of the Wynn Resorts rewards program gives you a value of $1,200. You can earn points in Las Vegas and at Encore Boston Harbor on the east coast.
