[toc]ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas continues to position itself as the high-stakes poker tournament capital of the world with the announcement a brand-new high-stakes series this upcoming February.
The MGM Resorts International and Infinity World Development-owned property will play host to Poker Central‘s U.S. Poker Open from Feb. 1 to Feb 11, 2018.
The eight-event series will include tournaments with $10,000, $25,000, and $50,000 buy-ins and a mix of poker variants.
The full schedule of eight events includes:
- $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em Feb. 1
- $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Feb. 2
- $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em Feb. 3
- $25,000 Mixed Game Championship Feb. 5
- $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em Feb. 6
- $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em Feb. 7
- $25,000 No Limit Hold’em Feb. 8
- $50,000 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event Feb. 9
U.S. Poker Open Championship trophy up for grabs
The player who earns the most profit over the entire series will be named the U.S. Poker Open Champion and take home a championship trophy.
When added to ARIA’s regular high-roller tournaments, the U.S. Poker Open will now make it three major high-roller series on the property throughout the year. The other two include the annual Super High Roller Bowl and the Poker Masters, which launched in 2017.
All of these series, including the U.S. Poker Open, air live on the Poker Central subscription-based poker content service PokerGO.
“The U.S. Poker Open is our newest marquee tournament positioned to kick off the high-stakes tournament calendar,” said Poker Central president Joe Kakaty. “Our lineup of quarterly majors give PokerGO subscribers year-round access to some of the best high-stakes poker in the world.”
A mix of poker variants
While other high-stakes series on the property have been no-limit hold’em only, the U.S. Poker Open has scheduled a $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha on Feb. 2. Plus, there is a $25,000 Mixed Game Championship on Feb. 5. The Mixed Game Championship will feature the following eight games:
- 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw
- Limit Texas Hold’em
- No-limit Texas Hold’em
- Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better
- Pot Limit Omaha
- Razz
- Seven Card Stud
- Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better
One of Las Vegas’ top poker destinations
ARIA Resort & Casino has a 24-table poker room that hosts a variety of cash games and tournaments. It has become one of the top poker destinations on the Las Vegas Strip since opening in 2009. The room is currently hosting the 2017 Fall Poker Classic, which started Nov. 26 and runs through Dec. 3. Fall Poker Classic tournament buy-ins range from $240 to $470.
ARIA Director of Poker Operations Sean McCormack said the new year is shaping up to be a good one, filled with high stakes action.
