[toc]With the announcement of a new high-stakes series coming this February, ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas continues to establish itself as the global hub for high-stakes poker tournaments.
The property owned by MGM Resorts International and Infinity World Development will host Poker Central’s U.S. Poker Open from February 1 to February 11, 2018.
The series, consisting of eight events, will feature tournaments with buy-ins of $10,000, $25,000, and $50,000, and will incorporate a variety of poker variants.
The complete lineup of eight events consists of:
- No-Limit Hold’em $10,000 on February 1
- February 2 Pot-Limit Omaha $10,000
- No-Limit Hold’em $25,000 on February 3
- Mixed Game Championship of $25,000 on February 5
- No-Limit Hold’em $10,000 on February 6
- No-Limit Hold’em $25,000 on February 7
- No Limit Hold’em $25,000 on February 8
- No-Limit Hold’em Main Event with a $50,000 entry on February 9.
U.S. Poker Open Championship trophy up for grabs
The U.S. Poker Open Champion title and a championship trophy will be awarded to the player who earns the highest profit throughout the whole series.
Adding the U.S. Poker Open to ARIA’s regular high-roller tournaments means there will now be three major high-roller series held at the property throughout the year. The other two series are the annual Super High Roller Bowl and the Poker Masters, which started in 2017.
Every one of these series, including the U.S. Poker Open, is broadcasted live on PokerGO, a subscription-based poker content service from Poker Central.
“The U.S. Poker Open is our latest highlighted tournament set to start the high-stakes tournament schedule,” stated Joe Kakaty, President of Poker Central. “Our schedule of major tournaments every quarter provides PokerGO subscribers with year-round access to some of the world’s finest high-stakes poker.”
A mix of poker variants
The U.S. Poker Open has set a departure from other high-stakes series on the property which have been exclusive to no-limit hold’em. They have scheduled a $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha on Feb. 2. Additionally, a $25,000 Mixed Game Championship is slated for Feb. 5, which will highlight eight different games.

One of Las Vegas’ top poker destinations
Since its opening in 2009, ARIA Resort & Casino has established itself as one of the premier poker destinations on the Las Vegas Strip. The resort boasts a 24-table poker room that offers a range of cash games and tournaments. Currently, it is hosting the 2017 Fall Poker Classic, taking place from Nov. 26 to Dec. 3. The tournament buy-ins for the Fall Poker Classic range between $240 and $470.
